Install

Fastest way: Prism Launcher (recommended). Works for both solo and servers.

Option A — Prism Launcher (best)

  1. Open Prism → Add Instance
  2. Pick Minecraft 1.20.1 + Loader Forge
  3. Click Import and select the modpack file (.zip export)
  4. Set RAM to 6–8GB, launch, done
    5. Tips: Make sure u have downloaded Java 17

Option B — CurseForge (Not recommended, provided for convenience.)

  1. Install Curse Forge
  2. Use this link
  3. Click install
  4. And Play

Minimum specs (realistic)

  • CPU: 4 cores+ recommended (6 cores feels nicer)
  • RAM: 16GB system RAM recommended • Allocate 6–8GB to Minecraft
  • GPU: Any decent modern GPU; integrated works if you lower shaders / view distance
  • Storage: SSD strongly recommended

What launcher should I use?

Prism Launcher is the easiest. It keeps each modpack separate and makes importing/exporting clean.

How much RAM do I need?

Allocate 6–8GB for typical packs. Don’t allocate 20GB “because you can” — Java can get worse.

My game crashes on start — what do I do?

First: confirm Minecraft version + loader version match the pack. Then check you have the right Java version, and try removing extra mods you added.
